Today I had a lovely European style breakfast at Hotel Piave after stalking the internet at 4 am Italy time and left for the lovely Paderno del Grappa campus of the Instituto del Filippin which is the catholic university I will be staying at near Mount Grappa. The ride on the bus from Venice-Marco Polo airport took us about an hour and half which wasn't too bad and it was extremely scenic. Once we arrived on campus I met a few new students and my roommate Megan who happens to go to the University of Georgia! I got my class schedule and free time schedule which is filled with random activities and lots of trips to areas in the region for us to explore. Apparently you can go hang-gliding! I think I might have to even though I may freak out haha. I got settled in my dorm room which has a beautiful view of the mountains and everything else around campus. There is a bar right around the corner where most of the students hang out which I have already ventured to. You can get wine on draft for 8 Euro a pitcher! Tomorrow I have my first class at 8 am I'm not looking forward to waking up that early but then again I can't sleep much yet anyway so it makes no real difference. While at the bar I met Delta Sigma Pi brothers from the University of Iowa! That made my day haha! So far so good with everything! Enjoy the pictures along with everything else! Until Tomorrow! Ciao!
